Any Canadians out there who know of Canadian Investments open to USA residents?

westphalia1 asked:

I live in the USA and am interested in investing in Canada. However the TSX listed stocks and options are off limits to USA residents right now. Trying to invest and take advantage of the US/Canadian dollar exchange right and come out ahead. NOT REALLY interested in FOREX. Investment Unit Trusts? Canadian Mutual Funds? Others? Thank you.

I heard snow futures are a steal right now… but they might be poised for a meltdown.

Not a bad idea. The US dollar is dropping fast. It’s about 1.00 US to 1.10 Can right now (down from 1.00 to 1.60 three years ago) and it might be 1 to 1 by the end of this summer.

That is inaccurate. Anyone can purchase Canadian stocks and actually billions of dollars are sold to non-Canadians…

Just go to your broker or online

go to a stock broker — you can invest in Canadian stocks if you are a resident of the US — not much to take advantage of with the US dollar lagging—-

    You are confused.

Investors from all over the world (Including the US) invest in the TSX.
